Netscape Communicator 4.0 + Browsing
 
Browsing the Internet is different in Netscape's version 4.0+ than in earlier versions, but you'll get the hang of it if you remember the following things:
  • How to type in a URL
  • How to move back and forth between pages
  • How to add a site to your Favorites list
  • How to go back to a site using your Favorites list
  • How to use it to get to mail and news
 
How to Type in a URL

Find the URL in the Address: field. 
Highlight the URL with your mouse 
Replace it with the URL of the place you want to go. 
Hit Enter, and you're on your way. 

 
How to move back and forth from page to page

The Back button allow you to go back to the page you just visited.

The Forward button allows you to move forward after you clicked the Back button.

 
How to add a site to your Bookmarks

Go to the site you want to add. 
Click on the Bookmarks button and select "Add to Bookmarks." 

 
How to go back to a site using your Bookmarks list

That's simple - from the Bookmarks list, select the website you want to visit. 

 
How to use it to get to mail and news

 

This button, found in the lower right-hand corner of the web browser, allows you to read mail and news, as well as access the Composer to write web pages quickly!
